We decided using this tool for the Social Study subject for our 5th grade students. These students were learning about the industry in our country. The topic for the multimedia activity was "Japanese car export and the United States."
In order to guide the students for this activity, the teacher made some models of the multimedia screens using different types of information. For example, the graphic about the number of cars which were exported to the United States and imported from the United States was made by the teacher. Several newspaper articles were also input by the teacher.
The students gathered different kinds of information which were related to the topics. They developed the multimedia screen cooperatively. After making the multimedia screen, the students used the information to develop their opinion about the topic, they discussed about the topic, and they presented their opinion.
